SKU: AUREN-EPITHALON Category:

Description

Epithalon, also written Epitalon or AEDG, is the four-amino-acid peptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It is distinct from epithalamin, which is a mixture of peptides derived from pineal tissue.

The published literature includes in-vitro, animal and a limited set of human studies involving gene expression, telomere biology and pineal-associated models. Much of the historical evidence comes from a concentrated research group and requires broader independent replication.

Registry values can differ by salt, counter-ion, hydrate, charge state or supplier representation. The lot certificate takes precedence.

03Storage & laboratory handling+
  1. 01

Keep the sealed lyophilised material dry, protected from light and tightly closed.

  2. 02

For longer-term laboratory storage, -20°C is a commonly used condition for peptide reference materials; short-term requirements vary by sequence and formulation.

  3. 03

After preparing a laboratory solution, minimise time at room temperature and repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The lot-specific label, CoA and SDS take priority over general guidance.
