1. Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Websites can also use technologies such as local storage and session storage. This policy covers the Auren WordPress and WooCommerce storefront and should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. Strictly necessary storage
The packaged storefront uses the following first-party storage to provide choices and shopping functions requested by the visitor:
| Name | Purpose | Type and duration |
|---|---|---|
| auren-age-confirmed-v1 | Remembers the visitor’s 18+ research-use confirmation. | First-party local storage; until cleared. |
| auren-cookie-preferences-v1 | Records that the current essential-only settings were saved. | First-party local storage; until cleared. |
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Helps WooCommerce recognise changes to basket contents. | First-party cookie; browser session. |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Helps WooCommerce recognise when the basket contains items. | First-party cookie; browser session. |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Connects the visitor to the server-side WooCommerce basket and session data. | First-party cookie; normally two days. |
| woocommerce_recently_viewed | Powers WooCommerce’s recently viewed products feature if that feature is enabled. | First-party cookie; browser session. |
WordPress or WooCommerce may also set authentication, security, comment or review cookies when a visitor signs in, creates an account, checks out or submits eligible content. The final list must be scanned and updated after every production plugin and provider is configured.
3. Analytics, payment and marketing technologies
No analytics, advertising or retargeting technology is included in the Auren theme or setup importer. The selected payment gateway, fraud tools, hosting, analytics or marketing plugins may introduce additional cookies or similar technologies.
Before any non-essential technology is enabled, Auren must update this policy and the settings panel and prevent that technology from loading until the visitor has made the required choice.
4. Managing your settings
Use the Cookie Settings control in the footer to review the current categories. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser. Clearing essential storage may reset age confirmation, preferences, sign-in or basket contents.
5. Hosting, security and technical logs
Hosting, content-delivery, security, ecommerce and payment providers may process IP addresses, request details and technical logs to deliver, protect and complete transactions on the website. The final provider list and international-transfer information must be inserted before public launch.
6. Changes and contact
We will review this list whenever site technology changes. Questions about storage or privacy can be sent to info@aurenlabs.com.
